Updated July 18, 2023 – Amazon has a number of ways for you to reach their customer service representatives or help yourself with information already posted online:
Online
For many different Amazon issues, you can find answers without communicating with an actual person. Amazon has an extensive customer service resource that you can access online here.
But you probably already knew that and are looking for a real live person to help you at Amazon. Read on…
How To Reach A Live Person At Amazon By Phone
- The Amazon phone number to call is 1-888-280-4331.
- You will initially get a recording asking you whether you are calling about a recent order. If you don’t want to use the automated customer service system, just say “representative.” (You may have to say “representative” a number of times to get the automated system to recognize your request.)
- Once the automated system has recognized that you want a live person, you will be put on hold and eventually a live Amazon rep will pick up the line to help you.
Chat
Log in using this link to go straight to the Amazon customer service “chat bot”, which will try to answer your question by automated means, but will connect you to a live person via chat if the chatbot can’t satisfy your request.
Amazon Help on Twitter
This isn’t the fastest way to get help, but “tweeting” at Amazon Help on Twitter is sometimes a way to bypass telephone customer service at busy times or when Amazon can’t be reached by phone for some other reason.
