Susquehanna Bank was a bank headquartered in Lancaster, Pennsylvania that had over 200 branches in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and West Virginia. It was bought by BB&T in 2015 for $2.5 billion.
Susquehanna Bank was founded in 1901 as the Farmers National Bank of Lititz, then became Farmers First Bank in 1972. It began to acquire other regional banks and by the mid-2000s had re-branded them all with the Susquehanna name.
The current BB&T Pavilion concert venue in Camden, New Jersey was previously known as the Susquehanna Bank Center before BB&T acquired Susquehanna.
The Susquehanna Bank headquarters in Lititz, PA, was purchased by the Penn Medicine – Lancaster General Health system in 2018.
